Wow. I just happened here today. I caught this post from Nailes and Sea.

Good Friday was the day my Mom past away from Cancer. It was April 3rd. But it was Good Friday. Today in the Western World.

My Mom loved the sea too. She lived by it in Brookings Oregon. Walked it everyday until she passed. She wouldve loved this post Dingo.

Props to the surf cam Dad, I still look at it every now and then when I need a dose of the serenity of memories of shark tooth hunting for hours on end, watching thunderheads boil up over the gulf. Props to critter's writer Mom, whose beautiful books I still have. Props to NHD, friend to all. I hope they are all with us, sharing this smile.

Gone but not forgotten

Saturday started early. I looked out to see the faint glow of the rising sun on the horizon and a single bright star in the still dark morning sky. Jen and I packed up and headed for stone in another state.
At the bottom of our second climb, we were in this alcove sort of area about half way up the cliff band. There was noone around. I was lacing up my climbing shoes to lead the route when Jen asked the name of the climb. I replied without thinking: “Seamonkys”. She sat back and smiled with a reflective look on her face. Then I made the connection and also sat back and smiled. As we sat there silently with the rock wall to our backs under a beautiful cloudless blue sky, we were thinking exactly the same thing: we are so lucky to be in good health and so wish for something to turn your situation around Greg. After sitting quietly for a few moments more, I went on to pull through the moves of the overhanging roof with more power than I have ever felt. I wish I could give you that power.
Just wanted ya to know that you are truly always in our thoughts with wishes for happiness and recovery.
