Got in last week. Finally....

Was weird - With winter over, we were climbing (getting in shape for a trip in a week or so) and riding a ton. Trying to work around the weather which has been all over the place with 30 to 40 degree swings - rain, snow, etc. Anyway although we were doing all this cool stuff and had come off a great ski trip to Utah, I was just getting this heavy depression... just felt like something was missing....

Now, with the damn near perfect life I've got going here, I know I've got nothing to complain about; still, it wasn't workin...

So I'd been watching this storm, which was acting kinda tropical, and it was holding together pretty good. I headed down and for the first day of my season, things just couldn't have been any better! The swell was not as big as predicted but still really fun. The wind held ALL day and even when it went onshore it was so light it didn't matter. The weather was beautiful all day and with water temps 5 to 7 degrees ahead of where they should be, it was so easy to stay in all day. And oh yeh..... THERE WAS NOBODY OUT!! I think everybody was in NJ as I heard it was quite good up there.

Well, a week out, I'm more than ready to get back in the water but I'm feeling much more content and relaxed regarding life in general. So amazing what a few waves can do for ya.

Hope y'all are well
